Asif Nawaz is a SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) business specialist focusing on Accounting and Web Technologies. He is currently serving as 'one' of the Directors at VAFTA Solutions, a firm focusing on helping small businesses manage their finance and accounting functions, develop database driven websites, and market themselves online by using the latest in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Technologies.

Having worked in the United States and Dubai, Asif brings a powerful mix of entrepreneurial and business management skills coupled with powerful technical Accounting and technological expertise. Bridging the gap between US GAAP and International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards (IAS & IFRS), Asif has an understanding of best financial reporting practices for small businesses trading internationally in Europe and the US. In addition, having served in varied accounting positions before embarking upon the entrepreneurial path, Asif has extensive experience with financial planning and analysis, management and KPI reporting and project costing.

On the web 2.0 front, Asif focuses on high-level database and interface design, integrating open source technologies such as php and MySQL to produce rich, search engine friendly internet based software and content management systems. The goal, to get SMEs to harness the power of web 2.0 and open source to reduce costs and icrease productivity. In addition, having led a Dubai company to become a notable Microsoft Partner, Asif is now focused on helping VAFTA Solutions become a specialist in Microsoft technologies for small businesses.
